    In this paper, a new type of sensor for on-line real-time monitoring of iron particles and viscosity in engine oil is used in diesel engine fault simulation test bench and installation test. Through the analysis of the test results, the feasibility of the sensor for on-line monitoring of ferromagnetic wear particles concentration and viscosity changes in engine oil is discussed, so as to protect the safe operation of diesel engine.
